Fraudulent third party reservation practices. I think that it's time well spent in comparison to having to try and resolve matters later on. Called Baymont to reserve a room for travel family and the fraudulent # posed as the Hotel Desk for Baymont with Wyndham connected me to CCI, who continued the conversation posing as a direct desk clerk. Its odd you say their APP came up as specific hotels dont usually have their own APP. The representative told me that it is different for them to cancel and their policy with Days INN wont allow it. The difference was this fraudster (CCI Hotel room) site that appeared to be Holiday Inn linked and they applied an overcharge of $235.27 - this is unbelievable and I plan to complain to the Chamber of Commerce in Hilton Head and also to Holiday Inn - I demand a refund! I was told I would get a refund and that I would get a confirmation email within 24 hours I have not. Theyre a rip off!!! Do not use them for any reservations!! Less than an hour later, I received the following email. When I complained to the hotel, the manager told me that he had received $53 reimbursement for the room. Made a reservation on the spot for $75. >>. on 12/26/19 using a Discover card. Googled a local hotel. Plus they added a $553.73 charge for what they call a service fee? COVID entered the picture again big time. I made reservations for a hotel room with what I thought was the hotel, but it was instead with this CCI Hotel Res 800-468-3578 on the 13th of April. I called the number provided but it was completely automated, and I was stuck with the reservation. By the way, the $521.80 charge was 49% of the actual hotel bill of $1,101.99. Was charged 529.96. Called the number on the page to make a direct booking with hotel. However, we didn't even know that we were transferred to this website in the first place! How much the hotel gets and how much getaroom take from that is between them. I would not have booked it in the wrong state! Cancelled the reservation at CCI and was then informed I would be refunded 1/2 of the original fee which was $438.24. Note, there may be applicable hotel charges if canceled past the cancellation deadline. When I searched their site I found no cancellation link. QUITE A MARKUP. It is effectively they who caused the duplicate charge. I never pay before a stay, only at checkout and certainly would not agree to pay a $553.73 fee. I drove to the address and it was a hospital I called the hotel and was informed that they were near San Diego, Ca. I called the hotel to verify; they did not have a duplicate reservation and did not receive a payment from CCI. "It is not included, unfortunately, " she said. They refuse to let me talk to the proper department. We should have paid $832.96, a difference of $475.02, which the so called booking agency kept. Got there and was told they had no pet friendly rooms. When you call the 800# its hangs up on you.
